Just think that you are trying to get your end into a virgin, use about the same amount of force to get your shaft into your box.

LOL at mushroom CVs.

I leave an old castle nut on the end before bashing. Then un-wind bashed nut, toss in bin, thread is fine, install through hubs, use new nut.

The CV joint has the tripod on the end that stays on the shaft via a sir clip then it just slots into the CV cup that goes into the gearbox. Then its just the boot that holds it in there. Its a plunge joint so its designed to be able to move in and out. This allows the shaft to be extended as the wheels turn from side to side.

There should be a snap ring on the end of the shaft that goes into the gearbox. This holds the shaft in place. If you don't have this snap ring, find one. If you're shaft doesn't have an groove for this snap ring, you have the wrong cv joints.

Referring to different things Toby. Read the f**king manual

There's a circlip that hold the 3 knobs on the end of the drive shaft.

Make sure that is on.

Then.

Put the boot on the driveshaft, grease it up, get the green cup, put some grease in it.

Slide the boot over the green cup while sliding the three knobs into the cup. Band up the boot.

Slide the hole lot into the gearbox. The shaft on the end of the cup will have a ring on it that will stop the green cup from coming out.

Furthermore, when pulling things apart, always take pictures or mental notes on how it came out because 100% of time its just the reverse to put it all together.

Also get a manual because it has the part break down.
