With that battery and parts aprox $450.
I can get a full price later on as it's all in my car folder.

Replaced head unit with new one that actually ejects CDs when I push the eject button.
Replaced lighter socket with USB charging plug.

Oh, and I did both without breaking the console surround :P

Finally got off my arse and fitted sway bar bushes and new selector bracket as dont know how long my dodgy repair wiould of lasted.

The bushes were very easy I thought and only took about 1 hr to do to make it fairly easy a 12mm ratchet spanner is the key Will post DIY soon :D

front bushes were a nightmare when i tried to do em, i can see how a ratchet spanner would make it easier though

Got the manual gear box in the S13 today..

Had to get a spring and bush that you have to press into the bearing that goes in the gearbox.. $50 from just jap..

And used the hydraulic press for the first time, to push the spring and bush out of the old bearing and into the new one.. Was piss easy...

Got the box in, new headders on, threw in the oil, new spark plugs, battery, and went to start her...

But, no wiring from the gear box.. So the car still thinks it is an auto, and is checking to see if the car is in park.... Tried to find the loom, and it is MIA.. So ripped off again...

May have to hit up Just Jap again next weekend..

The old. This is the heaviest part I think I have ever lifted off a car... Well, besides turbo and manifold:

Bought myself some RDA slotted rotors and Bendix pads for my beast.
getting them installed and a wheel balance on Friday, hopefully it fixes all the wheel wobble/shudder.

Might also pull apart my centre console tonight and see why my cig lighter ain't working (for my GPS), hopefully its something really easy... Makes it easy that the owner before me already cracked the hell out of the plastic, but also looks rubbish, I need to replace it.

Have you checked the fuses yet?
The ones under the drivers side.
I would pull them all out one by one and check then replace if needed.

I had a look orginally, but its worth having another check, is it a different fuse to the radio one? because if it is, then it's very possible it could be fuse, I've blown many a fuse while working on car sound.. haha

As far as I know it's a different one for the lighter.

Attempted the relatively "simple" task of changing my rear droplinks.

Just for kicks I did it without jacking the car up (no axle stands and don't trust sh*tty jack) and with a POS tool kit because I'm too poor to afford my own

Ended up stripping one of the lock nuts...

Cut fingers -3
Near dislocations of the elbow - 4
Swear words - 100
Hours of my life that I will never get back - 1.5

I swear to god the fronts should be much more difficult to do because they are tucked in behind the wheel, and yet I had no trouble with them. Clearly very pissed off.

this weekend:

ive changed heater matrix without degassing aircon - mmmmm heat.
changed all 24 tappets, now throttle response is amazing, sounds much better too.
was looking at changing lamda/o2 sensor as i think im running a little rich, but i have no trolley jack and the sensor is seized into the exhaust.

Anyone fancy giving me a hand tomorrow?!? :D

My front inner guard fell lose on the freeway the other day and I ended up running over it. Quick super glue and shove it back on!

Also managed to get my Pod filter enclosed inside the original air box! Took about 10 minutes!
