lol not really 6 hrs will take roughly two mateGholdwayne wrote:by the way, 6 hours under the car with a jack, but how long would it take with a hoist?
Fresh pipes always sound like that. Give them a month or 2 & they'll 'soot up' and the tinny noise will become more grumblyGholdwayne wrote:hurricanes are in!! and man do they feel different... its added a sound to the overall tone as well, sort of added more 'body' to the tone..
The only thing im a bit concerned about is that when i throttle about 30~50%, i hear this sound that i think is from underneath the car ish, more on the passenger side, it sounds like pouring sand into an aluminum sheet... what is that?
Reset your ECU as well, let it learn that it can push more gas throughGholdwayne wrote:i never heard that with my new catback though!!
i think there was some metal dust in the extractors from when they were being made or something, and now they might be dancing around in the cat before the honeycomb coz maybe they cant fit thru so maybe i thought they were 'hangin out' there![]()
But i'll see how it goes in a couple months. It brought the car to life! its orgasmic like Ohh Ehm Jee!
If you disconnected the battery again last night, you will have reset the ECU again - hence its not idling properly. Just keep driving it, it will relearn to idle.Gholdwayne wrote:its happened after the headers came in(i think the ecu was reset that time since they put some gadget to connect the red and black battery terminal together so they could weld brackets), its still happening now after disconnecting the battery for at least 30mins last night... it could be the idle screw as suggested in other threads.
Anyway, my work on sat got cancelled on account of some system outage over the weekend so i'll be able to get to brookvale earlier if nothing comes up, rekn you can also check it out ben ?
