Do you have to take the original off?
Or can you leave it and cover over it?

Thank you,

And I don't get what eh difference between the ring you guys are talking about, which I am assuming is what's on the back of the front seats at the back bottom that holds the material stretched, and the wire straps.

Thank you if any one can clarify.

:)
for best fit it is advisable to take the originals off otherwise you wont get that upholstered look...

the rings are the metal rings that's holding your original seats at the moment, the wire straps (or cable ties, zip ties) are plastic and you buy it from supercheap auto comes in diff colors... this is what you need to fit the new seat covers with

Hello,

Thank you very much for that Adriano.
Thank you for the clarification.

Now, if that's the case then I am assuming that you do reuse the metal rings?
And the wire straps are used for some thing else?
Or once you un do the metal ring you can't use it again?

Has any one by any chance come up with how to for this in the DIY section?
Just wondering as I couldn't see one.
And I tried to put one on the other day just to see how it looks and I can see that it's going to be very hard to get those crincles out of the way...

Well, atleast the next one will be slightly easier. At the moment i really can't be bothered to write how i did it. With the next seat i will take pictures as i go along.

I will need like more cable ties tommorow!

Thank guys, I would love to see other peoples seats! So c'mom post pictures once you have put one on!

In the middle of doing the second one. Which is becoming a heaps better job. What I'm doing is taking as many pictures, which I will then ZIP and upload for who ever wants to see how i did it.

I'm not going to write instructions, as that I think will take for ever. The 50+ pictures I think should help enough...

The way I did i think, is the longer way, but it makes it look good, and it will last longer i think...

Ok, Here are pictures of my process of putting the front ones on...
The back one are relativly easy, you just have to take out HEAPS of rings and use LOT'S of cable ties...

Hope that helps you guys.

Thanks for posting up the pics Boris, it'll definetly come in handy. Your colour scheme looks really good. It looks like a high class euro car's trim!

Hmmm if there is another group buy I might have to get a new set :) after looking at yours plain black looks boring!
