OK OK!!
enough of this insubordination!!
anyways! no sidetracking my thread!!

Furthermore, i still have 2 things prepared about what to do:
1. Wait out for the warm idle to be sorted out by ECU
2. If that fails by the end of today after I deliberately spiritedly drive for about 50K's, attempt to adjust idle screw
If non of that works out for me, you guys can check on my car tomorrow on dyno day and we're going to have fun

I just wanna do an oil change for the first time on my car!!! hopefully this idle problem sorts itself out.
But do i need to flog the car? iv read that on other threads but its with Tips for relearning of gear changing preference..

you should always flog it anyway
and it will relearn as to how you drvie eg: like a granny it change gear same way, like you stole it it will hold gears for longer

man i cant service my car like this... would someone in the area have a spare stepper?
first thing in the morning i started the car then it would rev for a bit then it would die! waited for the fans to kick in to see what happens but i was sitting there for an age but it didn't so i gave up as i had to do some housework.

Did you disconnect the battery? If so you have reset the ECU and it will need to learn how to idle again. Just take it for a drive and be prepared for a few more stalls along the way.

i have done that , it was fine on the drive home but the next day its the same, now it won't even idle at all, i would start it, it would go up to 1.5krpm then stall.

yeh I have a similar problem but mine is the stepper motor.
Gets all confused when AC is on and just stalls when I pull up. So I never use air con.
Starts up and idles fine but occassionally it will get confused and die as I pull up. Ive gotten quite good at predicting this now so when I see the voltage drop on the meter and here the increase in sound from my Walbro (this is all happening when Im pulling up to a set of lights), I kick it into third and then clutch it. I can do it so well now that passengers are none the wiser
DOnt call me lame

Gave the car the flogging today and it was idling fine but still a bit crappy but i just wanted to make sure, so i switched the car off, then start again, then it died!.. I found that the fans can help it stay alive. Also, something i noticed was that when i turned off the car, it doesnt make that last big suction noise. Seems like the throttle body is completely sealed. Maybe my TPS is dead, i really dont know! What exactly does the TPS do and what exactly does the stepper do?! How can i suss these 2 out of the equation?! Could they both have failed coincidently?
All these seemed to have happened since the headers got in and I've also been hearing some clankish snappy metal rubbing noise when im 'tapping' reverse with the clutch, not sure if the stock Y pipe had its noise dampening materials damp that before and not anymore with the new one, I don't know, all i know right now is, prepare cash.

LOL!!!!!
For some reason, I disconnected the stepper(one underneath the tb i assume) then reconnected it, and to no expectation all my idle problems seem to have been solved!! except its idling around 1000~1100 on warm, maybe the ecu thinks its a new stepper and i think it will go back down to about 600~800 revs when it fully relearns.
Now the only thing bugging me at the moment is when im clutch tapping on reverse, whenever i hit friction point, it sounds like quickly scrunching a metal sheet

.. any idea what that is? Im freaking out...
EDIT:: Took the car out for another flogging session and came back with the same idle problem... so now it looks like the stepper is the faulty part(even though it worked fine at first after reconnecting it).

oh yeah, the header paint had parts where it had peeled off in the rear header, other than that it was fine - never paint headers at night(humid). My mistake there.
