Yesterday changed both gearbox & engine oils.
I never knew how badly pounded they got with a turbo setup :o My oil has only done 5,000kms & it came
out blacker than Ernie Dingos arse & with the consistence of water. Gearbox oil was equally pounded,
also like water when it came out... and this is the second time I've changed both oils in the 10,000kms
I've had the car back. Different products used each time too :|

zuihoujueding wrote:my mechanic did
1) VRS kit service
2) machine the heads and dip in acid bath
3) clean out all sludge, The amount of sludge at the cam area is unbelievable!
4) replace 8.5mm magnecor ignition coils
5) replace NGK iridium IX sparkies
6) Changed Nulon gearbox oil, added Nulon G70
7) Flush with Liquimoly Engine detox and change to Valvoline engine armour 10W-40 engine oil
8) change coolant.
9) replace alternator pulley and crank pulley with aluminum ones.
10) clean and seal reseal oil sump.
11) replace head bolts and some seals which are not included in the VRS kit

The mechanic found out that my timing belt is actually miss aligned by one tooth.
Results: Now the car sounds totally different. so much eager and louder than ever. Noticably feels more responsive and will update if the fuel consumtion have imrpoved.

Hey zuihou how much did this all cost and where did you have it done? I want to do this also.

Today with the help of Matt (silver_gpx) & My lady, (kustoms_GF)

We did...

1) Swap front bar over to stock so I have parkers & it's not to low for the inspection
2) Sanded down the lights, first try so it's so-so.
3) Spray the speaker covers black.
4) Put new mesh in the Factory T's front bar.
5) Took the black car for a spin around the block.
6) Sat around talking.

So yeah. Preety productive for me... Heres some pics!

Well it's gotta go through the Written off inspection so i gotta get it towed to the place. Since It's unregistered.

And I need parkers and couldn't be bothered installing them so I thought id just put the prefacelift bar on so it has the pods with the parkers.

Or do you mean, what are we doing with the facelift factory t's? It's going back on, this blue bar isn't ours its yangs.
