i haven't had any issues with rotor's warping, the stock ones however are wearing out a bit from the harder compounds of the RB74 pads

YYgirl, that is the part # for the fronts, but that's only for FTOs with smaller front calipers. I believe that applies to the GS and maybe the GR & GX. Not sure about the last 2.

No, dust is just that, dust. Some brake pads create a large amount of dust which usually gets deposited around the brakes and on those precious rims. :lol:

Usually just a fine dark looking dust that comes off the pads.

I have used DBA rotors and where I am using Bendix or equivelent pads they work fine and are good for teh average road user. To go any harder requries use of more metallic pads with the dba rotors which creates warpage and high wear pattern.

The alternave is that we have personally foudn and stick with is teh EBC range of pads and brake rotors. I can garauntee since we have gone to this package, we have never had a warpage problem or cracking, we have superior brakes both cold and hot, reduced brake fade.

I have a custoemr with a Mitsubishi Magna running ralliart brakes and he was crackign and wearing otu a complete set of rotors and pads in once race. We upgraded him to our package of rotors and pads and since then third race on the same rotors and replacing one set of yellow EBC pads per meet (Example of how hard he is braking).

The point being I personally feel EBC pads are one of the best out there.

Some prices for those interested - note prices are for slotted rotors but not cross drilled which we do not use or recomend.

Front Rotors $176.00 Per rotor incl GST
Rear Rotors $160.00 Per rotor incl GST
EBC Kevlar Green Stuff front brake pads $260.00 incl GST
EBC Kevlar Black Stuff rear brake pads $125.00 incl GST.

I run this same package (but larger rotors on my magna) and cannot reocmend it enough.

The full part number is DB1223-RB074. That's what I got on the receipt.

I only had the Mitsubishi OEM ones to compare it with and they were pretty worn. So the stopping power was pretty obvious when I first had them fitted. The only complain is brake dust. About every 800kms my front alloys get pretty gritty. Other than that no complains.

When I was at Race brakes, I got them to check my rotors. All the discs were fine, no sign of warpage, or the need to machine them.

Get your current ones checked first if you are thinking of getting rotors.

while we are on the subject of brakes, i have these called WINMAX.

Never heard heard of them but i deffinetely reccomend them if u ever find any. They stop so easily without causing a fuss.

Has anyone else heard of this brand?

Yep, they're from Japan and they're used quite frequently in production car races. My car came with a worn Winmax sticker when I picked it up so who knows maybe I might have had Winmax pads fitted at some stage, LOL...

just got my stoppers redone(due to damage from being stolen) and upgraded to slotted all round. Stops like a dream, better than ever, the package mitsiman reccomended earlier in this post ( he was fitting that to my car) its sh*t hot!!

Does anybody have the part numbers for the DBA slotted rotors and Greenstuff pads for a GR.
Previously someone posted part numbers but they were for the GPX.
