never scrubs, but ride quality is sh*t considering thin rubber + stiff coilovers'

Okay, so I've recently found that there are some issues with my suspension components. I'm getting more body roll than I ever used to, and I've been told that my strut top and my right control arm are both basically fucked... The tyre joint wouldn't even do my wheel alignment it was so bad!

What I ask is; How much will I be looking at if I went to a suspension place and asked for "the works" on my suspension, meaning springs, struts, control arms, sway bars, bushes and shock absorbers. I have strut braces front and rear, but my suspension at the front is just terrible. :(

What I must also ask is how much will I save if i hunt the parts individually, and how difficult are they to install should I have an experienced mate install them for me?

The final question is; If I was to hunt the components individually, where could I find them?

...That is all.

...I think.

Well, if you're on the hunt, why not hunt for the suspension thread? The one that will answer all those qeustions :troll:

And search through 46 pages of gibberish for probably an hour in search for a couple of hopefully useful posts?

How is the control arm "fucked"? Is it bent or physically damaged or is it just the bushes that are fucked?

If the control arms are in good condition there is no need to replace them, just change out the bushes.

I will be doing a complete suspension overhaul this weekend hopefully, was meant to do it a few months back but just had stuff come up and have not been able to do it.

But as Ben said, read through the suspension thread, it may be long but is worth it as you will learn a lot about an FTO's suspension.

Okay, so a few updates!! Been so busy with work that I've had almost no time for the forums :(

Here's the news:

- I had my new PDW rims installed, and the tyres were the wrong size. They were rubbing when cornering etc. Took the FTO back, and they apologised profusely and replaced the tyres. Good tyres too, Bridgestone RE002 Adrenalins!

- Had a full cut & polish done, the red looks AMAZING. Looks so shiny, full-coloured and no more fading paint!

- Had a new exhaust system fitted. Kept my mandrel-bent stainless pipes from the cat as the shop said whoever had that done spent a fortune, but removed the cannon and replaced it with a Magnaflow sports muffler with a chrome tip. Sounds MUCH quieter, so less police attention, and no more revolting cannon! Will record some revs so you get an idea of the sound... Sounds really quiet and somewhat piss-weak from the cabin but after taking an audio clip of a few revs...Holy sh*t, sounds so much better!

Pics up soon, but first i'm going to grab a footlong chicken and bacon ranch sub with chipottle southwest sauce from Subway because I crave this sh*t like it's gone out of fashion.

That's exactly why I chose them! They're just chrome and have the curved lip :)
