.. i thought mikey was organising this..
i have a flat out month in october with car shoots and GLO Show and moving house and yeah....
i'll try and find a location... and try and keep it central :)

sorry guys n' gals... been flat out busy this month so i hadn't had the time to organise my own regular dinner, let alone an FTO meet LOL...

anyways, yes I am still organising the meet and I have come across some interesting places too in the past week... Location is not an issue - we need firm numbers fora firm date and since Jun will be busy during October, maybe we should reschedule for November instead...

I know it sounds kinda suss (having to delay from Sept-->Oct-->Nov) but I guess the positive flipside to this is that this gives everyoneplenty of notice and perhaps we have a better chance of getting some decent sunshine weather during that time of the year - hopefully that'll make the meet & cruise a more enjoyable one...

Dude, just set a date with Jun first.

Then confirm location later.

It's better to say a specific day so everyone knows to keep it free. We can worry about the details later.

If you don't start somewhere, you're gonna get nowhere =)

ALRIGHT - time to get my act together, no more being a slackarse. After consulting with Jun's availability, the official date have been planned!!

Meetup will be held on the 9th NOVEMBER 2003 - Location to be advised soon.

Hopefully this gives everyone plenty of notice ahead, and I really hope y'all can make it.

LET'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN!! :D:D:D

Alright, time to find out how many people are roughly coming.

Since mike is organising this, I'll let him handle it, however. People who are definately coming should send their details to Mike via a method of his choosing. Once we have numbers, we can decide on locations (no point going somewhere where we can't fit all the cars =PPP)

Dude, by the sounds of things, you're gonna have a lot of contact details =)

Jells Park is a great idea Tarkus. It might be a bit too far for the westerners though.

well since most of the attendees are from all over Melbourne, Jun & I have deicded to meet somewhere central and at this point we are 90% certain the meeting point will be at the F1 GP pitstop garage on Albert Park. I will try to confirm if the site is accessible this week and confirm by this weekend.

We now have 10 confirmed attendees and it looks like it's gonna be an awesome chance to meet fellow members.

Let's just hope the weather holds up a bit! :D

Hi,

I reckon somewhere along the great ocean road would make a good photoplace and I think its a good idea to make it a weekend meet along the great ocean road....I think that would be so cool....

If it's @ AlbertPark that's good, is 10mins away so I'll try and make the shoot for sure.

OK fellas, we now have 13 confirmed attendees so far.

We are meeting along the Albert Park F1 pitstop garage at 1:30pm. After the shoot we'll cruise together to Go Karts either at Ace Karts Sunshine (outdoors) or Moorabbin (indoors) - subject to weather.

Looks like due to time constraints, we'll have to meet up after lunch instead (coz I have things going on during the morning).

I'm new to this... just bought an FTO 1 week ago.

Is this get together a "rev head" event or is it more family orientated?

Feel free to bring some friends and family along (if they can fit on the rear seats LOL), but there will be strictly no burnouts, dangerous driving or general bad behaviour - you drive at your own risk. Remember safety comes first, so don't be a hero. This is a social event for fellow FTO owners to meet and greet each other, nothing more.

Any S15s or WRXs allowed?

...well seeing how this is an FTO meet, we'd prefer to have FTOs only, but S15s & WRXs are welcome (though I think it wouldn't be appropriate to include them in the photoshoot).

Basically what we want to try and achieve is an FTO meet in Australia similar to Project-F / FTO clubs in Japan (imagine dozens and dozens of FTOs in a single car park).

If they can do it, so can we, LOL! :D
