Don't mix oils.

Yes put through oil cap or as some people call it the 710 :)

Fill until dipstick says so.. I think just over 4L to full..

How do I know how much oil to put in? And on noob-assumption I'm guessing I put it in through the oil cap thing on the engine?
Yes put oil in where it says oil on the cap and just keep putting it in and checking the dip stick after putting some oil in stop when it hit the full mark

As in, don't mix weights? Like 10w40 with 15w40 or something like that? Would it be safe to assume there's 10w40 in there from the last service? So I'd be putting about 1L in?

Brands or weights..

If you dont know what is in there, do a full drain and change..

Hm, okay. Might check with dstocks and see if the mechanic remembers (I should hope) what he put in so I don't drain out basically fresh oil.

Just top it up, lol you can mix oils, who gives a f**k? It's a 1995 model?

Just don't put a sh*tty mineral based in there and dont go above 15weight.

Don't say that, now I'm conflicted! But there's no harm chasing up what's in there.

Just get either a 10w 40 or 10w 30 in semi synthetic but no it won't matter if u chase up the oil that's in it but it also won't matter of u don't :D

Your car your choice. I have been advised by numerous mechanics and the message was clear..

Dont mix oils. So that is what I live by..

yip just drain and refill with new, for a cost of round $40 its worth it and you dont have to change filter every time only a 5 min job takes 4l if not changing filter in which case 4.3l

Agreed. If it is not coming back out the filler hole then it is not full.

I may be mechanically inadequate, but I'm not that bad. If I'm that worried about it, I generally pay to get it done.

Or waiting until DIY days which are conveniently close. ;)
