Meanwhile, I'm making the car lug this around for the drive home.
Suffice to say, they don't look now; like they did in the picture.

Swapped out my ARC on smurfy for a stock one ready for sale. Degreased the engine bay too, she was about 5 shades of silver darker than the original, but all clean now
Just gotta take her down to the car wash tomorrow morning and clean up the inside and she's good to go. Have someone coming to look at her tomorrow. Had a look around the engine bay before just to double check for any leaks (person coming tomorrow asked if there was and I truthfully said no, but wanted to double check anyway), found none. Haven't had anything dripping on the ground either.
Still got the pod type induction noise at 70km/h in 2nd gear which I thought was a bit weird with the standard intake?
Yes, it's clamped on properly. Oh well

Is it a fresh panel filter? Or a higher flow? IIRC it did a bit of that too...

Are you sure the filter ended up in the box?

I'll take that as a "no".

replaced my fuel pump on Tweety (thanks Bennoz) and fixed the fuel level sender...
what a typical FTO PITA!
fucked around with the hard line getting it back on... but had the method down and can do it in my sleep now.
I was surprised about how simple the fuel level sender is... its just a float at one end and on the other end is a pcb board with little increments on it and as the float goes up and down a little electric connection on the other end hits the increments which corresponds to the fuel gauge in the cluster...
my little increments had carbon and sh*t built up on it from near 20 years running up and down... gave it a spit shine and a scrape with a screw driver and i now have a fuel gauge!
hoorah!

Nice Schumie.
Surprising the difference the new pump made?

yeah i was surprised it turned over first time without hesitation considering it drained a bit from the line... but it seems to have helped... time will tell

Nice, I wonder if you could mod it to be more accurate...
Today I cleaned the garage so I could put the car back in, Filled the washer fluid back up so the light wasn't constantly flashing.
I also degreased the side of the engine where there was a bit of oil, to see if it's still leaking, and if so, how much.

I let ours go for months at one point as I was never near a tap, and never had a drink bottle to fill it with.
God that drove me crazy.
