I will keep you in mind

Mount it under a seat Phil, it'll come in handy
And you never know, if you break down in the middle of whoop whoop and don't have any phone signal at least you'll have the CB

+1 to Schumie, he managed to do it somewhat painlessly on my car. Just dont let go of the pliers/knock the vicegrips off and you'll be right

Seriously though, 97+ models have a much better setup. None of that pipe bending crap. They have a plastic bit that makes it a snap. Must have got heaps of complaints and decided to change it.
Still stick by the tank out thing though. Tank is too heavy when full, but you should be able to manage it when half full. If you let the tank run low before you start, is a good opportunity to clean it out.

Yeah I was thinking - what's the problem with dropping the tank when it has some fuel in it? There's only 2 openings and they aren't anywhere near the bottom of the tank.
Having said that I wouldn't do it on a full tank as you said Dwayne...
And phil, fair enough if it works for you... Ive learned they are all different and they are all bitches... and the 4 I have done (the first being tweety) I thought I was gonna strip the nut every time till it cracked.

Not bad!
Looks like it would be a squeeze to fit two cars in there...

Yeah, I'll have to remove the missus' car before I can use it for its intended purpose

Eh, just leave it outside, I do that with the parent's Peugeot all the time
Currently it's outside, with my old rear bumper, spoiler, and a work bench, where their car is meant to be

Today I installed my new JVC double DIN head unit.
My old JVC single DIN had a "hideaway box" installed in the boot, so all the connections for AV, Sub, camera, remote switch, handbrake(earth), were also in the boot.
Took me most of the day to uninstall the old unit and rewire the new unit and all connections back to the front.
CB radio and it's aerial have been removed, I will probably invest in a good handheld in the future. Unsure if selling it or holding on to it yet though.
It sounds and looks awesome, now I have bluetooth and hands free
