Fitted the auto trans oil cooler.

Was quite a surprise (EDIT: shock) when I got the bumper off - none of the brackets/frame were attached to the bumper and one of them was/is bent (passenger side) so although i've reattached them the passengers side one doesn't line up with the rails /slots anymore. Will get onto dstocks and see if he has one.
I've got to take the front bar off again when I fit the rad for the charge cooler so will sort it then.

This car really hasn't had a lot of love in the past but i'm slowly sorting it out, I need to get some new mesh and repaint the front bar too as it's a mess.

Hmmm. Faclift indicators are normally attached to the back of the bar,not to the rheo. Something really dodgy has been done there

Dodgy stuff all over this car. The indicators are in the inner not in the outer pods so dodgy compliance too?

bjk: cooler is sitting infront of the rad, will get a picture up but it's not that pretty due to the rest of the bar being crap.

Actually, that explains it. If the car is complied properly, they normally swap the indicators to the inner pod and youlose your foglights. This is supposedly so that you can spot the indicator flashing from the angles specified in the ADR's. Mine was like that too (but didnt have a bracket like that). I just moved it back to where it was originally located.

You have to use a corse emery paper and sand them until all the laminate is gone.
      ie; sand away the laminate.

BTW, good job on the polish :D

These new (well not quite new as they're 2nd hand L200) internal door handles just arrived and I had ten minutes to spare so thought I would get them on, hope it's not looking too chintzy.
      Image
Ok what about the door cups, these are a mess and need rubbing down and painting right so do I just go black satin or something else and do I need to clear coat them also?

I would use a plastic primer before spraying them. Reduces the chance of chipping.

Clear coat is up to you. It will make them glossy though, as you can't get a satin clear in a spray can.
