universal 4 wire? do u mean an earthing kit? fto's coil pack are electornic and dont need a distributer so unless some1 screwed your up timing when they changed a belt it should be right. maybe a mod is making your car run rich or lean, what oil are u using? think i use 10/40 fully syntehtic nulon brand but i forget

on ebay search, universal 4 wire oxygen sensor, thats what the fto uses.
Its the oxygen sensor thats causing it to run rich. Noones touched the timing belt since i owned it. so couldnt be it.
Its putting too much fuel down because the air/fuel sensor (oxygen sensor) is due to be replaced as they should be every 90,000kms and i doubt mines been done and im at 150,000
And i have a CAI attached to the stock airbox with a pod inside it, intake soon to be upgraded to a 3inch stainless pipe. Im looking at boring out my throttle body as well.
Ive got extractors, 2.5 inch piping into a hiflo cat, into one large resonator, then straight after over axle it turns into 3 inch and into 3 inch muffler with 3 inch outlet.
Im giving the sensor a go. If it still stays sooty and i can smell fuel after a good thrash i might look into piggy back.
Im also using penrite semi synthetic 5w. it has brand new plugs, leads, fuel filter, coolant, thermostat, gearbox oil and belts. timing belt was done approx 60,000kms ago as well. So yeah its gotta be the sensor or a dodgy ECU. Throttle body has also been cleaned as well as the intake plenum.

if u ordered themalready ull soon find out wether they were the prob or not

Because my exhaust is black and sooty and i can smell it. And its using more fuel than it used to. We'll see how we go with a sensor.
