so ah still waiting on those cams...
man this camshaft company RPW deals with is the worst run business i have ever heard of! Its been 3 months and theyve been made twice cos they stuffed up the first ones and now they keep on saying theyll send it to RPW tomorrow then after a few days theyre like we'll send it tomorrow! this has been happening for a month its just ridiculous im sick of waiting! ARGH!!!!!

just needed to vent my frustration...

on a positive note received my carbon fibre centre console which looks so good! its not a 100% fit but close enough!

If anyone sees a pair of ganador carbon fibre mirrors please pass it on to me!

so ah RPW told me today that if the camshaft company doesnt get back to them on monday and send out all the camshafts they have ordered theyre going to cancel all of them! thats over 30 camshafts...i guess its fair ennough cos its absolutely ridiculous me waiting 3.5 months for a set of camshafts... so apparently dave has another company lined up but that will take 6 months till they start selling again apparently...
im thinking chuck everything i have now in then when the camshafts finally arrive put them in afterwards. only thing is thatll cost a lot to pull apart the head again and tune it again so its not worth it... so i might just do the handling and extractors and wait ANOTHER 6 months to put the go fast bits in... its going to kill me... why would they do this to me, i want to cry...

ok update is that the camshaft company sent out a batch apparently on tuesday so RPW should be receiving it on monday and apparently my camshafts are in there...

still sounds a bit dodgy and after this long i have the right to be skeptical... oh well we'll see...

if this doesnt work out my mechanic has someone that can make em in a couple of weeks

ok so RPW started off saying that the cams they were making me were custom and were made to suit the mods i was doing...
now they tell me its the stage 2 ones off their website http://www.rpw.com.au/Products/Engine%2 ... 6A12DM.htm and its the NA ones obviously...
does anyone know how much they differ from stock?

you'd probably want to find out the duration and lift of the stock fto cams before you can figure it out so you know how much its gonna change by.

I cant seem to find specs of the stock cams except for this but i cant make sense of it, can anyone help?

http://www.ftooc.org/?section=engines

Im curious to know the duration and lift of the stock fto cams as well

well apparently this stage 2 profile is also used in the 4g92 mivec engines and they go pretty hard apparently in those!!!
the non mivec cams are much more aggresive...
turns out its good in the end!
RPW are contacting their grinder and finding out what the stock fto cams are...

im so excited!
ill post up progression pics and videos if i can and illl pput up the dyno sheets and everything so u guys all know!

pretty sure this is a first with the NA cams in a fto?

GL time frame is more than enough seeing as just replacing stock parts with go fast bits its no real major problem (like piping for turbo etc) just needs to be stripped apart and bolted together with new bits and tuned nothing is actually changing as the fundamental mechanics are still the same

and i will be guessing that yes it will be most likely be quickest na fto on the drag strip anyway

yeah exactly.. Suspension is one full days work as well. The tuning part is going to be tricky since we were only given to put these cams at stock spec and advance/retard them from tthere so its going to be a tricky tune!

why do u say on the drag strip?
