I'll have the whole car resprayed one day. At the moment, it's just a project in the shed & will be for a few more years. So I'm not worried about paint yet.
It's just in my opinion that the black kits look ok on the purple,

They're not painted black. It's a gelcoat that comes on a new fibre glass bar. The car isn't going to be purple.
And two tone ftos look fuking hideous

Agreed, single tone for the panels. Small accents here and there are fine imo... fuel lid, door trimmings, door handles.. just to break it up a bit but any more than that and it looks tacky imo.

Keep it purple... I actually like the look of it in that colour...

Its just a little bit too bright for my likings. I'd like to have it done in a darker purple with a pearl.

Plus the whole thing has to be rubbed back, to fix the rust and hail damage. Otherwise I would of just left it this colour

Yeah, fair call ...

I was actually thinking of a purple with pearl.. When doing my Evo/GSR... Hyundai back in the day, did a nice dark purple on the Excel range... Not much to look at by itself, but if a pearl was running through it, it would come up much better...

I've had some practice at panel beating this week on my mates wrx. He got quoted $3000 to fix. I did it for $470 including materials.
I don't have any original photos of the damage, but it was pretty badly smashed in. ( the first 2 pics were after I'd tapped it out )
( in the 2nd last photo, I wasn't happy with the end result so I went back and had another go at it)

Went for a drive down the coast & Picked up some 18"s off the prez. He did me an awesome deal cos he's a top bloke :D cheers mate.
They fit nicely, but need to be brought out a little so I bought some 30mm spacers. Haven't fitted the, yet ;)
Ã…aand gave the front end a final coat of gloss black rust proof, so the front bar can go back on now
.

Ok so I'm down to this. Can someone please point out where this "glue" is that causes rust. And the best way to remove it?
I'll be cutting, grinding & treating any visible rust bits. But I'd like to know where els it could possibly come thru, so I can stop it.

Is it just in these areas where the subframe touches the roof? Or other places aswell?

Keen to know that too, as now that I've got a daily, I plan to remove my roof liner/sunroof and track down the rust.

Are you planning on flaring the guards on this one? even if the rims are high offset, I see camber in your future haha
