they were supposed to be, but the supplier had a different definition of 'vacuum packed'

hahahahha
I am not sure about 'vacuum packed' packaging though, we might end of with major lines and cracks on the product, what do you guys think? Do you think leatherette will survive such a trip in a vacuum sealed pack?

from my understanding leatherette is leather like , so its not rigid.
It should be okay me thinks.
In any case if they are vacuum packed they use less room and packaging becomes easier. in any case i'll check prices for shipping.
mxysxy if you can check what other options there are such as your mate in the phillipines would be a great help to all aspiring purchasers.

UPS would charge around 976 australian dollars for a 60kg package from the phillipines delivered to sydney.
The package can be our own/ the shops packaging.
If you do the math, 60 kg approx 12 seat cover sets @ 5 kg each.
Approx 81 bucks per person for the shipping.
Just food for thought

do you know what size box that is??
are we limited to a particular size box?

for that quote there wasn't a box restriction, meaning i opted for my own packaging not ups packaging.
UPS give the option for one of their packaging options or your own packaging.

1st. before we all start rushing to put our names down, we need to find out who can get it over to australia...
as seen in the 1st group buy, someone went on hoilday and brought them back as Xtras. and so the price was $230

. which included the seats, fees and the little xtra for the person and their troubles.
if we cant find someone then the price is around $400 ( GAV quoted me this rough price)

i have no problem with paying $50 per set to the person willing to lug them back to Aus. plus of course any xtra airport costes.
is there anyone out there who has filo connections that may beable to help the group buy on this???

to date thats what we're trying to sort out....
at the moment i have 33 people listed down for a set....
the best way i could think of is freighting it over here..
i got quoted $350/set (incl price of the seat cover) for this, but working out a bettr price through other connections....

Hey,
Only just looked at this thread - was interested last time but pulled out as I was going to get my sister to make me a set.
However, moved to Adelaide therefore making it logistically a bit difficult.
So, you can count me in (again) this time around if it all takes off. Blue and silver if possible - if not then black+silver / black+blue.
Anyone got any feedback on how they are like to have on all the time? Do they get hot and sweaty after a while? That is my only real concern - they look fantastic!
And people - keep your minds out of the gutter on this one!

Hmmm, maybe i should get a set of spares

Did someone get black and white last time??? Black + white and red stitching would be awesome. Or black and red... or just red
Adriano's are still in pretty good condition, not sure how old they are. Stiching around the rear seat belt buckles is coming out so i might have to hit it with cable ties to tighten the area back up. Not good with a needle and thread, but with cable ties, i can fix anything
What the hell am i meant to clean em with? Don't know if i should use leather cleaner or something else...
edit: nevermind any of that. I want read leather for the doors like someone else said.
