And really, it is pretty much the same thing. Monotube, 7kg/5kg, 1 year warranty... Eh, much of a muchness I guess?[/quote]

The dealer here in Brissy told me V1's will be noisy and you will hear creaks with slow manoeuvring. Btw, you can ask them for any spring rate and they don't charge any extra. :)

I do so love the eternal struggle of Gen Y wrapping their feeble minds around the concept of 'change' :geny:

Bull. Your time frames were like 9 years and then 20. Aren't we the generation all about change anyway?

Most of it probably not all that great, granted.

So, quick summary on the BCs.

Haven't driven it far yet, so hard to give a full review. So they're pretty hard  Not cripplingly hard, but certainly a lot stiffer than my ragged out Teins. At this point I reckon I'll leave the spring rates, but I could certainly recommend 6kg & 4kg. I reckon that'd be perfect for street use. This review is done with them at the softest damper setting too. I'd love to wind them up when I next get out to Wakefield.

Many of my phantom suspension noises have disappeared & they allow me to get much better traction on take-off. None of this bouncy cavitation rubbish I was getting before.

Installation was fairly straight forward. Finding the ride height was a bit fiddly though. I've set the gap between the lock rings to 120mm on the front, 112mm on the back & it's pretty much given me the same height as I had before, if not marginally higher, but imagine they will settle down with more driving. I'm still contemplating dropping them all further by one rotation.

So all in all, a thumbs up from Bennoz. Will get some pics up shortly.

Thanks :)
Placing order sometime this month for 5 kg front and 4 kg rear rates. Will be changing all the bushes when I install them.

With the 1kg diff to 6/4, they wouldn't require revalving as well, would they?

Apparently not.

Supposedly you can go +/- 4 kgs without the need of revalving. That's where the BC's 32 point of adjustment comes handy. (Info derived from numerous BC BR forum threads all over the interwebs and their dealer in Brisbane, don't sue me for liability!!)

I remember someone (can't recall username now) a while back getting 4/3 and it didn't end up being very good.

I went for a ride in that car & it certainly didn't feel right.

I have 5/4kg Teins in my car and though I haven't driven it in many many years I remember the suspension felt great.
Though it was some 100kg lighter than the average FTO

Too soft and bouncy?
If we were to believe the guys here at Option1 in Brissy, (dealers for BC kits), then 4/3 falls within the +/- 4kg ratings which you don't need revalving for. He mentioned, he will place the order to BC for those spring rates, and they will come from the company preset to those ratings, which if needed revalving, they will do it before sending them over.
