and i will be guessing that yes it will be most likely be quickest na fto on the drag strip anyway
yeah exactly.. Suspension is one full days work as well. The tuning part is going to be tricky since we were only given to put these cams at stock spec and advance/retard them from tthere so its going to be a tricky tune!

why do you say on the drag strip?
Probably guaranteed to do well in a straight line but maybe unsure about track performance until its actually tested. Just a guess.

Is that 76kw atw the 'before' dyno? And yes, mivec sounds awesome when it reverberates through those walls :D

yes it is the before dyno haha would be a bit worrying if it was the after dyno!
havent had a chance to scan or put up the dyno vids
but isntt 76kw atw a bit low?
i know its tip and mivec but still wouldve thought easily another 10kw?
remembering i have done:
UAS Intake Kit
NGK Iridium IX Sparkies
Magnecor 8mm Ignition Leads
sh*tty Exhaust which is probably worse than stock
(but sounds awesome)
thats about it

55.5 hours till she goes in!

I honestly think that power figure is a little bit lower than average.

How many km has your engine done?
Whats the year model?

It should be at least 85kw for a STOCK mivec tip. With your UAS kit, I would have expected 85 - 90 kw atw. But, there are so many variables that come into play its really hard to tell. Im willing to bet if you got it dynoed @ another place it would of got a different figure anyway.

Shouldnt matter anyway, considering what your planning for it.

my engine is just about to hit 160,000km's...
it will have a brand new (pretty much) top end but still have the same bottom end.
have been looking for a lower mileage bottom end but havent found one. its also a 1995 model
well we pretty much have the one dyno down here in hobart so ah not much of a decision has to be made.
it was on 98ron fuel as well...
hmm it could be the shody exhaust it currently has on it?
u guys will understand better once i put the dyno sheet and vid up

That figure does seem low, I remember slurppee was about 90

air filter cleaned? Who knows. As said to many variables, but yeah can still be used As a comparison for later

hmm air cleaner hasnt been cleaned since i put it in 10,000km ago and before then i dont know how old it is...
its the Apexi Super Flo thingy one...
i think it could also be the shody exhaust.
would a bit dodgy transmission lower the kw output?

It possibly can be attributed to the exhaust setup, might be less or as efficient as stock. Also the 160,000km may have been rough on the engines efficiency so who knows.

Its still good you got it dynoed though, you can use it as a guide to how much of an improvements the mods made.

What are you doing about your intake though? C.A.I im assuming, what piping and filter you using? I hear the HKS Super flow (mushroom looking one) had the best power improvement over most others in the market.

yeah thats why i was looking for a fresher bottem end...
intake is completely custom ;) youll see it when my engine bay is revealed.

well that is why i got nvr2lows old gearbox which has only done half the amount of k's mine has!
my gearbox is pretty jerky especially shifting down from 2nd to 1st and makes a whiney noise..

also really need to get around to putting the vid and sheet up!

31 hours till the car goes in!
