Fair play. Thanks for letting me know they fit! That was my biggest worry.
I work for an engineering firm, so I can get it all done for free. We are also going to have a go at making the butterfly ourselves too. Don't worry though, its only a small homer, I don't think we are going to stop building high stress military systems and start a line in FTO TBs
Cheers for help

What size is the new TB, as i know the original post said its going to be 64mm, but on the UAS website, it said Rob's car had a 65mm.
And did he machine the intake manifold to match as well, if not, do we need to machine our one to optimise this mod?

there's a whole lot that goes into the "complete" package... TB is just one part of it... we took off the complete intake plenumm and did some work on it all.

Any news on this?
Cost?
What gains? And at what rpm range are these gains at?
I have been waiting forever to find out

cost will be around 1k...
gains in a nonmivec are already in this thread somewhere

... mivec hasn't been tested yet but won't be any less and hopefully more

Steve the only "gains" I have found are in page 4 where the only details it gives is the increase of cfm per runner and in total.
But what sort of actual power/torque gain is there at at what revrange? Will there be a loss of low end power?
Is the TB the standard one machined/bored?
Can we buy this whole setup without the TB and fit another one on ourselves?
What other modifications do you recommend doing before this?

So is Feb now, hows the progress? And i don't mind to know the answer to the above question that spetz had asked.

Can I just ask the question, has anyone spoken to other workshops about the creation of this kind of stuff - eg Croyden Racing Development?

no...
but then the stuff is already developed... it will have its first major trial on 1 may, 2005 when we do our first track day up here... it probably won't be going on my car until april as there is quite a lot happening to the car that will all go together around that time...

[quote="smorison"]hey guys...
finally got the flow bench figures off rob's GR... mine will be going in soon (cams were sent in today)... as soon as we have this tested on a MIVEC we will be almost ready to sell them - we're just trying to locate a spare set so we can do them on an exchange basis (same day service) rather than taking a week.
