Hi Guys
After spending heaps on LEDs and playing with lighting for the V3 and V4 dial kits I decided to go and test out a FTO EL dial setup I got recently.
Looks the goods...I will install soon and show the results. However I think I stick on my needle caps...hehe will need to try and get them off somehow !! haha heat will do the trick..
Pics later.[/img]

In your picture your dial says miles per an hour, does this still show a correct reading?

I have had a few PMs about these dials so i will answer the questions here:
1. EL dials need to run a wire to an inverter. The best place to run the wire is where the globe holders would go.
2. These dials have pre-made cables however the connectors are too large and need to be chopped and soldered. Took me about 10min to do this.
3. The needle has not light - as u have taken away the globe. It shows up in BLACK as the back ground is so well lit...hence the name reverse blah blah dials...
4. Installation took about 3 hours. Lucky the FTO cluster is very easy to take out.
5. You will need to stick down the dials to stop them moving..I used some
tape..took 30secs
6. These dials dont use light...they fit over the needle so easy to fit. You wont get the "shine through" effect as you would with a bright LED or Globe with the KMC style ones...although this can be fixed
7. Shows MPH - this is WRITING ONLY refer to the pic...the scale is exactly the same. If MPH annoys you then I suggest you get over it.
8. NO DULL SPOTS!!! awsome light....looks cool. Will match a SAFC/RSM install perfectly...or in my case...my head unit...which is backlight a similar color..

Those things are a bargain! They don't seem to come in manual, or red, though

They are EL dials..nt many come in red, most are in this color.
goddamn they are bright...total contrast to the stock dull sh*t ones...
Juts pulled it all apart to fix up the CC unit lighting...and also dull doesn the AUTO lights PRND lights...
Looks tops..
However now I have some ideas for my old V4 dials...just need another cluster now.
