With lowered springs you might find that your car rides a lot more bumpily and bumps & pot holes on the road might seem more harsh. Not to mention that if its lowered too much you might not even be able to drive on some roads without scraping the crap out of the underside of your car/bumpers etc. Personally, when I upgrade my suspension I won't go for lowered stuff, just because the roads are pretty crappy in some parts on the way out to my place. You're probably goin to be best off going to a few suspension places or a decent FTO mechanic to find out what the best setup is for your needs before you commit to buying anything :)56twe


Now, if your car is making sqeauling noises when taking off, turning an d braking it sounds to me like it oculd just be the brake pads are worn out & need replacing, that will make a kind of squealing or scraping noise.

Sorry to go a little off topic but are you sure the noises are coming from the springs? Have you investigated where those noises are coming from? They could be your CV joint, or one of your exhaust brackets?

and why would u say that? what evidence do you have to support this? I have no isses and very good results using their springs. In fact they are used so much they run out all the time. My suspension guys - who use some of these in race setups have no issues with them.

get some wrap for your spings...if its lowered too much they hit and cause a noise, whiteline sell spring wrap. AlthoughIts probably not your problem.

I'm with max here, ask for the rates, any spring can give you the look you after but not the ride. If you pick it right, you can have a car with lower stand but very similar comfort as the stock one.

I have lowered King Springs, Koni's, a complete set of Urethane bushes, strut braces, new droplinks, camber kit, anti-lift kit etc etc etc in my FTO and have had no problems with Tasmanian roads.

The ride is a bit firmer but even with our lack of road manitenance things aren't bad and the corners moore than make up for it, especially if you also get some decent sticky tires

Personally I would change the struts the same time you do the springs as then things may get a bit harsh in the ride department. Labour would be cheaper as well instead of doing them seperately.
