IMO Jap/Chinese/Taiwanese kits like this aren't really suited that well to Australian roads. They tend to use high spring rates to compensate, whereas most suspension kits designed for Australia are a bit more complex and use shock valving, large bore pistons etc to provide better handling.

That being said, if you get them I would strongly advise to get softer spring rates. The advertised range of 9/7 (F/R kg/mm) is way hard compared to the standard FTO setup and you would experience an uncomfortable ride on the streets.

I agree with KD here, not just the ride comfort will be affected, also the traction too.

If the spring is too hard, you be bounching off the road with every little lumps and bumps. And with no contact between the tyres and the road surface, mean no traction.

Don't compare this to the track, as most track have a smooth flat surface, so they won't have this bouncing issue.

yes spring rate is damn hard even when i adjust rebound almost to the softest, a little hump will make the car bounce up the road yeah, it's very stable doing corners until you hit a even small hump while you're doing a corner

it's only good when you're on a smooth road, but then you'll have the next problem of finding your tyre doesn't grip ... well depends on how fast your'e going

front on 3 degree rear on 2 degree for more grip on corners now but *cough* now there's even less traction on straight ...

i wouldnt say no, just ask for softer spring rates. but if i were you i would get them from just jap. same coilovers, just a different colour. but if you are in sydney and have a problem, the boys are local (kirrawee)
i was going to put the G4s in my FTO just before she went for a swim! he he
i will put them in my R33 gtst when i have the extra cash though.

depends on where and how you drive, just like if you lower your car you'll drive friggin slow going up speed humps

it's design for track & drifts so it's how you look at it really

You can get different spring rates from D2, but not sure how much different. I have D2's in my FTO and it was the best modification I could have done so far for traction. Well worth a look I say.

personally I would just go for someting more suitable. Koni's are quite good and suited to Australian enviroments as KD stated. Wont cost much more than 1300 as those are about 1300 incl delivery. But then u need some springs as well for anotehr 200.

I have Koni's and Bilstiens...the Bilstines are fantastic, Konis are damping adj. also and you just mix and match the rate and it makes a huge difference.

When i go around a sharp corner, or a dip in the road, i hear a scraping sound, which sounds like my bumper scraping along the road, but I think that it is my tires scraping on the wheel arches when the suspension is compressed too much.. Other than that, the stock suspension has been fairly good, and I hope that it is only because it is getting old, so I'm looking at upgrading.

Can anyone tell me about the best suspension set up to get for;

Country driving, high speed cornering with bumps in the road, and a fair bit of dips and cornering downhill.

I want some "Goldilocks" suspension - "Not too hard, Not too soft, but Just Right" I don't want anything lowered.

Its 5 pages, but there is every part number & every component in there. You might want to try what myself or KJ did, some nice shocks & springs with some poly bushes & pillow tops. I wanted a nice stiff / sporty ride, yet something I could drive to work in everyday without getting stretch marks on boobs.

i used to use KYB adjustable too which actually turns out to be a little better overall ... only thing i can't do is camber adjustment. So you don't HAVE to use coil over cause most adjustable will do the job for the stupid bump australian road
