I had a look on the NGK website, they have a universal 4 wire oxy sensor .. just wondering if it's ok to use on the FTO.

Also i've seen a post referring to an ACA brand, just wondering where I could get my hands on one.

Didn't want to start a new topic, can someone confirm whether the gates belt T987 can be used for GPX models.

Thanks
Joe

Yeah that ACA one is the same across the board. There are also equivalents on Ebay that are even cheaper than the 88 odd bucks I paid.

Gates T987 you can get from any Repco for about 95 bucks & it will fit a GPX. That part number (T987) is specific to the GPX

Got theOxy sensor for $80 bucks.

As for the timing belt, Repco wanted to charge me $220, then I told him I knew some guys who got it for $100, then he put down to $140. Told him I don't need it yet so I left.

Went to SuperCheap, lowest price is $152.

I'm calling AutoBarn.

Found something when I called Autobarn. They stock a Bosch Timing belt with the same part number for $60, not sure if its the same.

The guy asked whether the FTO use a square tooth or round tooth, I have no idea. HELP !!!! :?

I can't beleive how easy it was to change the oxy changer, I'll be doing it myself next time.

Unscrew
Cut cables
Join cables, and
Screw in back in.

I estimate about 30mins if you're doing it at home.

Unless she's rusted in... then its a can of WD40 & some elbow grease...

But yeah, not a hard job.

Mine was easy, wasn't rusted at all.

I've driven my car about 150k's already and i can see the difference in fuel consumption since that change. Usually at 150ks i'd use almost half a tank, atm it sitting on the 1/4 mark.

Should've changed it sooner, would've saved me a lot of money !!!!
