sorry i just can't help laugh at this kind of stuff, my mate just seconds before me got caught as well (not we weren't racing, just going down a hill)

and yes i realize cops will be cheap and set up a speed camera at the bottom of a hill
not sure how fast i was going.... i think around 75....ish or less

also though my friend went down there and started taking photos of the cop car the cop didn't like cause. cause the thing is if the (Speed Camera) sign was not viable on the side of the road you can't get fined and since it wasn't i might be able to get off with the speeding fine

this is true BUT you also need to look around the area as they may have an RTA sign up saying seep cameras used in this area.

eThix I don't find it funny. Remember the forum rules re: breaking your state laws. It also seems you neeed to read up a bit more about disputing a fine. The below points are all taken from QLD policy documents

- There is no legislative requirement for the Speed Camera in Use sign to be used on a speed camera deployment. The placement of the sign is a Queensland Police Service Policy issue...(but) the absence of the ‘speed camera in use’ sign does not render the infringement notice invalid.

i realize cops will be cheap and set up a speed camera at the bottom of a hill

- QLD Police are allowed to set up cameras on a downwards slope
- The onus is on you to use your braking system to regulate your speed.

That said it

So I can only say DONT speed on the public roads
go down to a trak day at your nerest race trak and get it out of your sistem there

when you've got a friggin sign telling you it's there!?!?!?

here in vic we get no warning, and they've got fixed cameras hidden in the
roof of the tunnels as we'll as on bridges and half a dozen intersections

what the sign didn't get your attention?
maybe they should get a guy dressed in a chicken costume
to jump around so that you get enough warning next time

ok i know I've done something illegal, i got caught... there is no crime now. (since I've been caught)
Anyway all i was doing was just posting up what happen and how i felt, sorry but i do find it funny.
I don't find this any different from when ben was telling every one how his broken the law countless times....... were just telling people what we have done.

i checked the forum rules, i don't see what rule i'm braking.... the only way i would be braking the rules is if i was saying i was speeding and never got caught.

also i checked the sign thing, apparently it use the be the case.... but its changed now and it doesn't matter , so i'm sorry about that.

(maybe i'm just trying to get a BYO hottie day for ethix lol kidding DON"T SPEED!!! )

Dw I find these things funny too. First and only time i got caught speeding in Vic doin 128 in a 110 zone, I was singing along to the song i was playin while the cop did her thing.

From memory it was Bon jovi - Livin on a prayer

Even the cop chick had a laugh

Hey i also found out that if the cops don't show the speeding sign then you can apparently get away with the fine, so i will just get my friend to do all the work and find out, and i will tell use if it really is true or not

Just a tip from me just pay the fin, If you take it to court you will loss a day pay waist a day sitting around for your cass to come up to the judge and only for him to shake his head and finger at you and tell you to pay it due to some leagle jargen.
