Cutting a VERY long story short.
- I went to the coast sat night (got to springwood) pulled over because my car was squeeling when i put my foot on the brake. Thought it was odd because the pads were changed in oct 06 when i brought it. kept driving and even when i didnt have my foot on the brakes.. it squeeled. :(
- went home so i could get a better look in the light.
- took the calipers off took the rotors off.. & to my surprise the disc was down to its bare shiny metal with the biggest lip i have ever seen worn into one.. I WAS PISSED!! :( :x :x :x
the wanker who had the car before changed the pads but obviously didnt get them machined down or even changed. :x

- Got over all that sunday morning & called autobarn, super cheap, repco, coventry etc etc all branches in brisbane..
Half of them said this "a what? a lancer u mean" im like.. nooooo.. a fto.. one chick even said to me like i was stupid "i think you mean a lancer" i said to her.. i think your stupid? you think i dont know what my own car is? her comment "well you never know" i go.. right... you got front disc rotors .. her reply " im sorry i dont know what your talking about" AHAHAHAHA someone should slap her!! this was @ supercheap on the spare parts counter!!! :x .. not sure who they are employing.

Anyways joe & ricks had a set - i would of gone and got them but he was shutting in 10 mins.. & even if i was driving my car there i still wouldnt of made it lol!!

so.. yeh moral of the story is.. check your brakes.. because now im sad and have to wait for some to arrive.. :( and i cant drive my car.

ALSO NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM A MITSUBISHI DEALER..
they want $240 per disc.. AHAH NO! :x
Oh & mt gravatt wanted my vin# im like.. er no?
i even told him that there 14" discs.. but noooope.. "im sorry i need your vin #" i said goodbye and hung up :o

also.. dont stick your fingers through your wheel spokes because YOUR FINGER GETS BURNT :( lol!!

sammi :x :x :x :( :( :( :(   :x

(YES IM HAVING A WHINGE im in a bad mood)
give me some sympathy

P.S - Its still a pretty long story HAHA :D

as for the ye wanting your VIN # that would be to x referance parts that you need.
any way ood luck with your repairs :D

For $240, might as well get the DBA Gold series with some spare change in your pocket.

Come to think of it, the highest rotor i've came across are as follow

AMG rotor, need to be change every 15000km and at $3,200 per set of 4

e46 M3 rotor, pretty cheap at $6000 per set of 4

Porsche ceramic disc at a bargain of $10,000 per set of 4.

you dont need a vin number for a part reference. i rang up mitsubishi cleveland.. and told him what i needed he found it straight away - the guy was just being difficult.

Yes you can look up parts on CAPS (ie at a Mitsubishi dealership) without a vin, but you'd have to be specific with model & type etc. If you give them the vin they can look up your exact car.... If you give me the vin I can look up your exact car & tell you what the part number is that you need

Hey guys,
Try RDA slotted rotors,

They dont warp anything like Drilled slotted and are cheaper than DBA. They also come out of the same factory.

To my knowledge they cost about 120 each rotor, cheaper than dba

They are the same as the older Magnas....

Also to save trouble just quote a 94 Galant 2.0L DOHC front rotors exactly the same.

Paid 45 bucks each for my RDA's and they havent warped nothing after about 50000kms of driving, still new.
