OMG I've totally lost my car keys! Was thinking of ringing a locksmith, but are they going to make me a new key? Or do I have to get all the locks actually changed? Any help would be great, thanx guys.

firstly they will get in to your car to see if keys are in there if not they can get a number off the key barell of the egnition and cut you a new key so its all good :D
and after all that is done you will find your keys  thats just the way it is

Actually, while we're on this...
I've only got one set of keys, but more importantly I've only got one keypad to my aftermarket alarm. Is there any easy way to get a second remote keypad thing... or do I just take very very good care of it?

Hehehe ... Take very good care of it...

I think you can give the code to the maker of the remote and they can get you a new one...

What brand is it anyway .. ???

Thanks aza yeah i've already got into the car but no keys  so I'll be getting someone out hopefully today. I had to unhook the battery because of the alarm...I've read sooo much on here about codes etc am I going to have any dramas with that sort of stuff after I get some keys?
And hey nicholas, get a spare key lol and ring up about your aftermarket alarm and they'll be able to give you another one, and an override code just in case your battery goes flat etc, something I learnt the hard way

no you should be right all you have done is unhooked the battery to stop the alarm , unless you are talking about your alarm codes then it comes down to what alarm you have in the car.
should be ok :)
