Gearbox Clunk

I got a clunking noise in my car, its not suspension, it happens when im turning, i had the mechanic take a look and he said it most likely had somthing to do with my gearbox. Any help is appreciated?

if its your gearbox, it would happen when going straight as well.
Sure its not the driveshaft/CV joint?

I asked them to take a look at the driveshaft as the sound seems to comes from that area but the mechanic said he looked at it and it looked like it was my gearbox, apparently would cost me 3grand to have it pulled out and the problem located. I'll take it to another mechanic and get the driveshaft checked again
