I was doing a bit of "spiriting" drive yesterday, took off at a light in main intersection with full throttle, no wheel spin and didn't went over the speed limit, but the noise from the engine and exhaust (all stock) was certainly not your average corolla...and the other cars at the light seem to be "stand still".

Anyway cop start to flash their light and when i was just about to pull over from the middle lane, they decided to stop the siren and lights and backed off 8O and eventually they slowly turn off to a side street

This got me thinking, cop really does target those who drive a Jap car, because i did the very same thing with my exFTO before and the cop was all over it for an hr.

probably realized your car was stock :P so they didn't bother trying to find a defect :D or they love you... either way I'd say you got lucky

I would imagine any sports car, would be targetted to get pulled over imho. Although the ratio might lean slightly more to japanese cars as you do get a few more people giving them a bad name (as their cheap for thrashing maybe?). My sis's bf owns several cars and when he drives her around in the bmw, no problems at all. Drive the porsche and she tells me he constantly gets pulled over lol (while driving normally).

I've been pulled over a few times for no reason in the fto, yet when i drive the corolla (even aggresively) i rarely get pulled over. The corolla is a 97 hatch aus delivered shape mind you, looks totally like a granny car, till you spot the the hard to see black frount mount lol.

I dont think they give a toss what brand the car is - but if you have 21" inch chrome zepter wheels, a 45 inch dump pipe & some neons, your gonna get hauled up every time.
