FTO AUSTRALIA

For a while now, whilst driving I get the door light flicking on and off, and the interior light flicking at the same time. So I check the boot out, and it has popped up slighty. Push it down, keep going, and its fine till I hit a bump or something.

Basically, the boot latch seems to be fubar. I can actually slam the boot down, and pull it up again, without it fully locking ot latching.

I've taken the latch part off the boot itself, and if I pretend I'm the boot, I can get it to lock on tight. Bolt it back on, and it won't lock on tight.

Any ideas as to whats wrong? I've played around with it for a few hours with no luck. Is it possible to buy a new one (if this one is screwed?). Or do I need to track one down from a wrecker?

have you tryed to adjust the ruber stoppers on the sides of the bootlid as they may be turned out to far wich can be stopping the lid to lock in
