I was driving along yesterday and then again this morning when a light comes on the dash. I was just driving normally, not doing anything stupid. Just wondering what it is. I know it comes on when I first turn the car on too but it goes away straight away. Dodgy picture of what im talking about below. It looks sorta like a car swerving with tyre marks behind it

i'm guessing it has something to do with the traction control,
i'm not 100% on his though coz i've got a 94 model so it doesn't have it.
might just need the T/C servicing or checked or something

Its ABS. Its normal for it to come on during startup, its not normal for it to show during driving. Try to get the error codes out of the ECU, if not, best get to a Mitsi service centre & have them run a diag on it. Most common fault is the wheel sensors failing (there's on each wheel & it could be any one of them.)

The ABS light can also come on if the voltage to the ABS- ECU drops suddenly.

Dont worry.
TCL light is located closer to the centre of the dash.

In fact, to embarrass you all further, you can see the Traction Control light on the diagram. Its the one below the temp gauge that reads "TCL"

As Ben said, its highly likely that one of your speed sensors are shot.
Unfortunately very expensive items, as its very hard to find one.
I have my rear left one replaced, it was around $400, not inc labour, paid by warranty.
If needed I got another spare speed sensor
