How to centre your steering wheel

Hey Guys,
Does anyone know how to centre a Steering wheel?
My allignment is all good but the steering wheel is centred to the left.

Ummm ... From what I understand, they have to centre the steering wheel then adjust the alignment ... If the wheel is not centre, then yo uneeed the alignment....
Only time I have ever proven this wrong, was in my old crappy commodore ... When the car was turned off, and the wheel was yanked in one direction, it would take the steering wheel away from being centre... You could then pull it back the other way again to straighten it ... But that was only cause the steering colum was on the dodge...

The other option is to point the wheels straight forward and then remove the steering wheel and put it back on the spline in a centred position.

do a wheel balance... Id got the same pro..
a wheel balance cost me $40, and now ok~

aftermarket s wheel? if so this is how...
before u tighten up the s.wheel
drive the car on a flat road and let it align the front wheels to the stiaght position - it will do it automatically, just let it roll
then adjust you wheel and tighten it up. take it for a drive...if its slightly out...you just take off the wheel and use the next holes..the Boss kit has many to choose from...if its not correct adjust the boss kit also.

i thought the end of the boss kit has three holes that will line up with the steering column...
when i put my new steering wheel in, after tightening the bolts on the boss kit, the steering is either to the left or to the right, i end up having to do a wheel alignment which cost $75...bugger. and i had to do it because at the time i just changed my rubbers which i dont them to wear unevenly....

either your alignment was out upfront or you got ripped 75 to adjust your adligmnet to your mis-aliged s.wheel.
You can with 10min of effort make sure it goes on as good as the old one you have taken off. Key is to make sure u wheels are centred through the process above.
The boss kit and wheel has no effect on your wheel alignment per se. It has an effect on the position of the s.wheel in the car which if not centred is annoying.

Its alignment. The steering shaft has to stay centered (as it is) so the indicator cancellor stub is in the correct spot relative the indicator assembly that surrounds the shaft.
You can self adjust the alignment if you want - I've done this before. Just get the car up in the air & release both side tie rod lock nuts, then wind the steering arm half a turn in the direction you want to correct. Ie if the wheel is pointing left, wind the passenger side arm outwards half a turn & wind the drivers side shaft inwards half a turn - then lock up the lock nuts.
