Burning smell?

Guys i kept smelling a light burning smell when i drive my car hard... wht could have happen to my engine...kinda worry now

it might be your brakes or pads

Do you have an oil leak? I do, and sometimes it drips on the hot exhaust manifold.

Check both of above
the fliter is located above exhaust mine used to drip from the sender unit adaptor when driving hard the pressure gets higher and has more chance of leaking

if its an auto could also be tranny fluid needs replacing. I used get a burning smell when i first got the car after driving it hard. Quick tranny change good as new

I'm driving a manual. Dont think i burnt the clutch too much though... could it be the oil im using? Im using 10W40

My money is on leaky rocker cover gasket. Coupla drops landing on the exhaust manifold.

Im just going to throw this one in there, but if i have the lights on my mirror on for too long they start smoking and making a burning smell

i still think its the clutch, next time you are "going" on the "high way" go hard but try not to Rev when you put the clutch in, give it some time between gears.
