It is the inner CV, page 26-13 of the workshop manual.

Part labeled "6" is the part that failed on my car.

I think the guy who sold me mine still has the long axle, all CV's and boots were in very good condition from what I could see.

It would require trans tasman sending though, want me to look into it for you?

!

FTevo do you have what I need? :D

The gearbox coupling end (driver's side) for a mivec manual?

Oh interested! Can you look into it for me? Trans Tasman=from NZ??

Forgot to say that... GR Tip

Can attempt to find parts here if you want, wont be very cheap though. Just that specific one I was talking about was only $50 and good condition.

And yeah, I am in NZ

Different internals mate, means different splines, means different Axles

hey buddy how does that work they use the exact same gearboxs mate. i bought manual driveshafts off the net from japan and i am using them on the 6a13 with the manual fto box so i dont see hw the driveshafts are different.

Your secret ingredient there is that you are using MANUAL drive shafts on a MANUAL gearbox. It is dependent on the dif the car has not what housing all the moving parts are contained in.

And you missed the part where he said he wanted an axle from a MIVEC MANUAL and I said I could get one from a GR TIP... I didn't say that they were different in manual gearboxes. Simply that if there was a difference it would be caused by the internals.

Automatic difs/axles have different spline patterns to manual difs/axles. I don't know if there is a different between LSD and open difs, but it wouldn't surprise me...

Sorry if I confused myself or you :)

Thats pretty cheap, $450 plus shipping. Can anyone clarify, is this both sides?

I would guess one side only. They are 2 different part numbers in CAPS
