Anyone know of this car or anything about it?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Mitsubishi-FTO_W ... otohosting

What do ppl reckon about it? Worth getting and repairing? Heaps tempted depending on final price it goes for...

Looks like it might have CF bonnet?

Any opinions welcome anyway...

the engine bay is very dirty, looks like it has done a lot of km's

if your keen about it, ask the seller what exactly needs replacing. By looking at the pictures u will obviusly need a new front bar, drivers side headlight and possibly a new radiator, but pictures dont tell everything so maybe go have a look at the car

there is also some scratches like below the LHS tailight so there is probably some more and yeh that is a cf bonnet

ps: i like the rims ... *hides*

Yeah I did notice the line under the LH side rear light but wondered if perhaps it might have just been in the pic.

Yeah have thought about getting in contact with the owner/seller and seeing what the deal was. Just thought I would ask about it on here first to see if anyone knew it. It's a 97 so would be worth prob getting and fixing up. Can't go look at it as Im in Adelaide :(.

Its done 165,000 km's or something. Also it says leather bucket seats but those look to have seat covers on or are they the coloured leather ones you can get in the FTO? The leather musn't be in great nick if he's got seat covers on...

Yes it is a members car look at the plates gives it away i feel lol.

Why does it not have climate control is it a gs or something?

If it was a GS, it wouldnt have a mivec in it.

You might see the CF bonnet as a plus at first, but if you are in a different state, itll have to pass a rego inspection and that many mods (incl CF Bonnet) are likely to get you in trouble with compliance.

Oh and are the seats leather or the leaterette group buy covers?

Yeah well to be honest I really don't like CF hence why I was asking, I would prob want to replace it with a regular bonnet anyway. Hmmm might just leave it alone, would be a diff thing if I was in Sydney and you could just re-register...why dont we get anything good like that down here in SA?

On closer inspection the seats look to be the red coloured leather ones cause they have the seatbelt clips attached to the shoulder... would be a good buy for someone I reckon if your handy or know ppl (and your in NSW).

Geez you boys are really quick today  ( why havent the invented the sarcasim button yet)
If you havent worked it out i was only joking

I guarantee the car is a write off or at least close to it. look how far the the front has been shunted back. The radiator hose should not be bent like that.

The owner would make more money from it stripping it down and selling the parts

Anyone here gets it, first dibs on the seats if you're stripping it

I'd buy it just for the number plates.
Wonder how much it'd cost to repair..might be perfect for me.

guys - serious here, because i'm in NSW and happen to know (or 'have one work for me' is more like it) a mechanic..do you guys think this will be fixable?
Seems like maybe a new engine (depending on how it runs..maybe just a quick major service and she'll be right?), bit of a restore and a new bodykit would fix it up nice?

I want to get it but I have no place to put it
and yes I will rip it apart to sell the parts off it :D
If the CF hood is ok that would go on my car along with the boot and wing and maybe the side skirts.

so if any one can store the car for me I will put a bid on it :D
