starter motor

hi,
just started noticing the engine is strugglin a little to start up, nothing major, the battery and alternator are ok, so im guessin the started motor is slowly goin, any ideas of how much they are and where i would get one if needed, and wether u can get reconditioned ones??

according to the recipts left in my car, the garage that fixed the one in my car before i got it, charged the previous owner $195 for a new one....
so with currency conversion a shipping it would still be a lot less than 300??

If i recall i purchased my stepper for $120 incl transit. theyre just in Manly if your in Sydney. guess not.
But my problem i think is not the stepper.
My car cuts off when its cold then runs normally when its warm. The idle sort of goes up and down up to 1000 rev but it wont Stall when it drops really low, as in near the last line.
What are my options here?

In what way do you believe its stepper related? Have you had a solinoid jam up?

just got one from EKW down here. $95 second hand with 3 months warranty. Can't beat that.
