hey guys
sorry to ask for a dump question....i am having a 95 gpx trip, i found it a bit lack of power in low rev, especially after i drove my fd's integra today......i am just wondering is that the problem of mine gpx or is that the general issue......
i seriously a noob about modification about cars and really looking forward to get some advice from expert here. What should i look for to replace or modify to speed up my ride? (not to turbo it)....May be a LSD? Fly wheels? found these in some car magazines, don't really know what these are......and i am going to hong kong soon, just interested if i should source the parts from hong kong as they may be cheaper?

thanks for all the advice on me...sorry again for the dump question.....

hey mate you cant have flywheels on a triptronic as it is a auto. Autos are always sluggish down low in the rev range

LOL, nah mate your questions are a little on the dumb side but aren't dumb enough to make us have a dump... The engine is a high revving, naturally aspirated engine that redlines around 8k... Rev the car to 5500rpms and then experience a jolt in your pants...but before that nothing exciting really happens. What integra are you comparing it to? If it's a gsi then yeh, low down it'll prob have more. Vtir or typeR will drive very similar to the fto. Keep in mind you have a tip which means you're giving away 10 or more kws at the wheels over a stock manual fto. Search around this forum for the basic modifications, topic has been covered many times before. Sounds like though that you're gonna need to get familiar with a few concepts first, lol dont be worrying about an lsd or a flywheel at this stage. Anyways, do the basics mods, Intake / Headers / Exhaust. Maybe wikipedia a few terms as well so you educate yourself too.

Couldnt agree more. The first mods anybody should be doing are exhaust and intake. This is becasue pretty much all other engine mods you do, you will not get the full benefit without having done the intake and exhaust.

Once you have sorted that out the only real way to get rid of that flat spot down low is a re-tune with a piggyback ecu but you will looking around the $1200 mark for purchase install and tune but well worth it in my opinion, especially for a tip.
