Mufflers and wheels... on a budget

Thinking of adding a canon muffler of some description to my car, along the lines of this

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 110118.htm

With the cheap and nasty chinese or southease asian constructed ones, do they actually have any muffling properties? My car is slightly too loud for re-certification hence why I am looking at a canon

Best thing is this auction ends in 4 hours with no reserve (sitting at $3.50 atm), so bargain even if it's sh*t haha

Now for wheels...

I don't care if they are heavy, my car is no longer getting any track time so it's all about re-certification and looks. Remember, I am bargain hunting here...

Some wheels to recon

Some 19" Stilettos

Some Sparco's (I actually quite like these)

Some 18" Rays/Volks for only $21 (and climbing) :O

Some damn nice looking rims for a grand, nice dish

Some mint condition 16" lightweight Enkei's

Best deal I have found yet, 17" Evo 8 wheels and tyres for $699

Thoughts ladies, and step to it!

Mate, I reckon the Stillettos, dished and 16" enkeis would all be a good bet.

With the stillettos, they're 19"... will that fit very well? Also, you'll be up for new tyres, and in 19s that's not gonna be real cheap so perhaps not as much of a bargain as first thought?

the dished ones definitely look the piece... remind me of Ben's. And he has a red car, and it looks great... so you're gauranteed to get a good result out of them.

I have 16" enkeis on my car so i'm biased. But the great things are - lighter weight, good performance, and CHEAPER tyres. Which for me means that I can spend more money getting BETTER tyres, which I think is pretty important.

Personally, I reckon you should go for the dished 18s... will match the cars performance with looks nicely.
