Fuel cover broke off, WTF!!??

So yeh my fuel cover (the actual metal cover) more or less snapped off... dont ask how cos i have no idea lol. Please someone tell me where to get a new one of help me think of a fix..

Same thing happened to mine, the hinges rusted away and snapped.

wow that was quick, thanks guys. FTO is a black one (I suspect the car has a hint of green pearl too, but its vary faint)..
yeh just snapped when i popped it haha... was funny as hell, rock up at the bowser with this schmic lookin car and then i pop the fuel cap and.... hold it in my hand as i fill up baha... not so cool now lol.

even if you cant get a same colour one, u can get i colour matched. just take the broken one in too...

Oh, I definitely have a couple of them. Not sure if I have a black one or not. Ill have a look in the shed tomorrow for you.

can anyone explain how i can fix this? when i try to open the cover, it unlocks, but doesnt pop out, and i cant open it. its like its locked again. how can i make it normal again? its annoying trying to open it for 5min at the station while there are people waiting...

.. that is if your talking about that one... coz i had the same problem in the new one & it was the spring thingy!

if i grab that off you, do you rekon i could strip of the paint, prime it, paint it and add a few coats of gloss on it? rekon it would be a close match with black? coz iam seriously considering doing that and iam dreading the next time i fill up because ive put it in place , but once it comes out, its gonna be a hassle and a half to put it back in place!
