I could say the same thing about retarded posts like that.

Drink driving kills tens of people a year in Australia, the more that is done to prevent that, the better.

Agreed. On the whole, I have huge respect for police. Of course there are those few pricks who will stop at nothing just to fill their quota, but meh, just do the right thing and you'll be fine :)

tens of ppl?? try 100's. i never had any probs with police, if you treat them with respect they usually return the favour. just imagine life without them !!!!!. there are a few bad ones for sure, same as every occupation in society.

Dude...is it me or do you really like arguments that much. That was my opinion on the matter and that is the whole purpose of the forum. For someone to present their opinion on the matter being discussed.
I PERSONALLY think cops waste their time a lot. That is my OPINION. You DONT have to agree and i dont care if you dont.

i think cops waste thier time also, sometimes. i also think it would be an extremly hard job that for the most part goes unrewarded. i know it's a job i could never do. they would have to work to demands from thier bosses just like everyone, and wouldn't always agree with those demands. i know for a fact that they have quotas and need to make "X" number of bookings if they are trying for promotion, all jobs are productivity based.

don't think too much about how ppl answer posts, sometimes it might seem like ppl are argueing when they aren't, it's hard to tell when it's just words on a page, written words can't portray emotions.

How was the police officer WASTING anyones time, when he is assigned the duty of breath testing drivers? He saw something he thought he should investigate, he did, no-one was any worse off. Col lost probably 5-10 minutes of his time. If the police officer was aggressive and needlessly held Col up, then your comment would be valid. As it is, you're just putting on the "ha, f**king pigs!" attitude on the forum.. For what? To look cool? Go mouth off to a policeman next time they pull you over, see where it gets you.

Clearly, in your opinion, police should no nothing to prevent drink driving as it is wasting everyones time. It kills people. Stupid people making stupid decisions like deciding to get blind drunk and not taking a taxi home, KILLS people. God forbid an officer pulls you over for an RBT and DARES to waste some of your precious time.

Wanker.

Lol he got in his car to drive 3 houses down?

I think RBTs are a good idea if that's all that they are. It pisses me off when they set up RBTs and then go through licence, p-plates, defects, registration, "were you just talking on your phone sir?" etc etc.

If they want to check that stuff fine, they're perfectly entitled to... just don't treat us as idiots and pretend like breath tests are ALL they're there to do.

THIS is your opinion and i dont agree with it. If the police pulled people over for a breath test who were real threats, then there would be no fatalities.

My attitude on police is based on my experience with them.

I am a wanker because i have an opinion???....you really are stupid and REALLY need an education..go fix someones car audio or better yet....go hang yourself.
