Hi,
well ive pretty much decided that my brake upgrade is gonna happen very soon, and have pretty much decided on the DBA slotted rotors at the front with some racebrake pads all round(unless anyone suggests otherwise.....like the 4000 series rotors?overkill?)

as for the rotors, anyone know of anywhere with a better price that Autospeed(www.autospeed.com.au) at the moment? They have the front slotted rotors for about $210 shipped.....

Also, anyone delt with autospeed before, whats their service/shipping times like

Thanks for any help

Hey mate,

Call DRP Direct on 93524422. They are based in Sunshine and will beat any price on dba rotors, pads etc. Speak to Natalie or Viren.

Another place other people got their slotted rotors in NSW was from Racebrakes. But they're in Wetherill Park, NSW.

I'm going to give them a call tomorrow to ask about the slotted rotors. I did consider the DBA4000, but they are double the price of the slotted rotors. And they are probably abit of an overkill for street use.

As for pads, yeah good idea to get them upgraded at same time. I upgraded my front pads to RB74s nearly a year ago, and it's wearing out my standard GPX rotors. The metal compound is too harsh for the stocks.

I'm going to call Racebrakes tomorrow and see what they can do for me for my front rotors and see what they think of the DBA slotted and RB74 combo.

let us know how they go regarding advice and pricing if you could
would be interesting to see their pricing on the rotors as autospeed have 10% off their regular pricing, puttin em down to like 105 bucks a side

Thanks

Alright, I just rang Racebrakes and spoke to Greg about the combo.

Basically he recommended RB74 straight-away with the DBA slotted combo.

Now, as for prices:

RB74 Pads: $165 (when I got them last year, they were $145!!...dang inflation)

DBA Slotted: $115 each.

DBA 4000 (Cast iron): $215 each.

Installation: $60 (Need car for 3 hours).

My pads (RB74) are still good so I'll probably just go with the DBA slotted discs.

Yeah I'll probably go the Autospeed route. But I'm going to get one more quote from another place I know and then go from there.

Well I've changed my mind and decided to get the DBA slotted rotors from the place I get my alignment/suspension/break checks. Much more closer to home too!

It's for exactly the same price (incl install) as Racebrakes. This place knows my car setup pretty well so I guess if I have any problems with the rotors, I can at least follow them up.

Here's hoping it goes well with my current RB74s!!

Where's Mercury Motorsport? Is it closer to you? If I were you I'll get it from somewhere local.

Yeah, not sure why there's a price difference. Have you rung Racebrakes and maybe try to price match? Is there a new grade of RB74 which is why the price has increased?

But $145 sounds like a reasonable price. Well that's what I got them for a year ago anyways.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead guy's.

So just to confirm that the DBA slotted rotors are about $115 dollars each?

And just to confirm that the part numbers are DBA425 ? Is this for both front and rears?
Thanks

I got mine for $112.50 (each rotor) excluding labour in April this year.

The part numbers were DBA425SL and DBA425SR (left and right rotor respectively) .
