My first attempt at fibreglassing.

Well, I bought all the goods today, feeling optimistic.

All set to go in the front of my garage, the TP was incase I s**t myself :P

Doing a general box design, which is what I'm really doing this for, I decided to lay the fibreglass within the box, and 'pat it out' using the resin.
Was planning to cut it out of the box, so didn't much bother me that the resin would get slightly stuck.

Learnt a fair bit in doing it, I feel I'm relatively comfortable with the resin, and using it in good time, I became quite liberal and generous using it after the first few dabs and seeing how quickly it was absorbed.
Worried at first that I had not done the resin/ catalyst mixture correct, I pressed on, and hoped for the best.

Removed from the box.
A few air pockets I did not see.
A small dry patch
A small couple of baby holes
didn't get it all right to the edge.

But oh well, overall, turned out great.

In doing this, I now see the whole advantage of having a mold. As such, I am rethinking how to do a few things for when I start going crazy with mat.

LOL, 3rd person to think that.

No, it was really just practice. I've something much bigger planned, and mostly for the wagon, nothing for the FTO.... yet... if even.

Cheers for the comments.

Just had another look at it then, it's becoming nice and solid, might touch up the still dry areas with more resin and actually make a small box of some sort

Should have used a more solid box and you should have used the box the other way around.

No, I did it the right way, plan was for the exterior to be the smooth side.
Box was going to be cut off anyway, and served its purpose well.

If this damn rain would stop I could start my next project
