Ok I found a program on the net and to install it, it asking me to do the following..... is it safe?????
1. Add the following servers below to your hosts file located in
C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 practivate.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 ereg.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate.wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 3dns-3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 3dns-2.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-2.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 ereg.wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate-sea.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 wwis-dubc1-vip60.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate-sjc0.adobe.com
2. Once added, save it.
(If you are having **problems saving the hosts file**, then save the 'hosts' file to the desktop as a .txt, then right click the file, select properties, and remove the .txt extension. Once done, paste the file back into the folder C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\)

Good god man, what progam are you installing?
I'd certainly be removing this: 127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com

He's cracking something from Adobe, probably like the master collection of CS4? lol. The 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com and obviously localhost aswell is fine.
The rest i havnt ever seen but I don't think they could harm your computer. (someone correct me if i'm wrong).
Though whatever your installing (esp if its cracked could have something nasty in there)

.
Goodluck son.

... we know *what* the program is, but are the instructions from a reputable site?
In all actuality it is probably ok, what it's doing is attempting to redirect any of those website queries to your localhost (your machine) 127.0.0.1, it's up to whether you want to go ahead with it, but I always run a backup before trying this sort of thing.
There is a program to use that can allow programs to be installed into a secure part of a hard drive.
Best part is, you could attempt that setup/crack and if it all went belly up purge it and your actual system would be completely secure.

Tired of dealing with rogue software, spyware and malware?
Spent too many hours removing unsolicited software?
Worried about clicking unfamiliar Web links?
Windows Stays Lean: Prevent wear-and-tear in Windows by installing software into an isolated sandbox.
This software is used by our government departments to keep anything untoward off their systems. I am not going to mention which depts but I can happily say that I trust the source of the recommendation implicitly.

When I installed photoshop, I just used a keygen (which I can't seem to find now) and that's all. Might be easier if you use a keygen?

Hmm well I don't care.
Here, I'll make it even easier for anybody trying to catch me and throw me a HUGE fine (or possibly even some jail time).
My name is Yang, I'm asian, live in Brisbane and drive a fto with angel eyes. You may find me drunk and attempting to spell my name in urine on a half pipe.

Edit:

yeah i kept it all this time, i kept everyone's from the GBs, it's called good accounting/book keeping.
there's a line between joking and just being rude, and the line is very blurry when it's in text.
remember people can't hear the tone you are thinking when you type.
anyways, I was trying to be helpful. and don't want to start this with you, so this is my last reply on this exchange to avoid it blowing up out of proportion.
