Hey guys,

I was trying to fit a new gear boot, and I accidentally snapped off the piece which you tuck it into (the rectangular "ring" that screws into the bottom of the stereo surround). I didn't realise it unscrewed so I was trying to pull it off, and well, it came off.

Does anyone know what part number this is or at least what its called and where I'd be able to buy one?

If I bought a whole new stereo surround (I wouldn't mind a CF one), does this bit come with it?

Thanks so much, any help appreciated.

Pete

Arrrggg,

That bit isnt easy to replace. Youll be lucky to find one at a wreckers. By looking at caps, im guessing its part of the gear boot (due to the fact it is glued to it). The part number for that is MR148719. I could order one from Japan for you, but dont know what the cost will be (I can get a quote first). Certainly cheaper than Mitsubishi Australia, thats for sure. It wont come as a part of the stereo surround. I order them fairly regularly out of Japan and have 3 or 4 in stock atm. Is it repairable. I would have thought so. And seeing as it isnt visible, a bit of glue residue wont be really hurt.. Make sure you get the right sort of glue. Something that sticks plastic with a fair bit of oil in it would be good.
