HELP-New Clutch Sounds???

Well got my clutched installed today, and ive noticed its making some sounds...now its new and i know it has to bed in, but what kind of sounds are the right ones and which are the wrong ones...
eg when at slow slow speeds(like pulling out of a carpark etc) there is a rather loud metallic squeeling sound
should i be worried and hastly get back to a mechanic? or is this somewhat normal?
Help me relieve my worry..(after findin out the brakes racebrakes sent me for the rears are wrong im in a 'stressed, need these in within a week' mood)

Is it a stronger one?
I put in a stronger one and I get a teeny bit of clutch shudder are lowspeeds esp, reversing. This is normal with performance clutches.

didnt really notice any extra sounds compared to before, then again your part numbe may or may not be same as mine, the whole car shudders on 1st-2nd change if im a bit too quick with the clutch and not enough on the throttle

well its back at the mechanic today for some checking...
he thinks the sound may be from the metal guard around the brake rotors, because thats what gets 'pulled' when the remove the transmission or something...
plus looks like my stock sway bar doesnt agree with my cusco HA coil overs up front, its rubbing on it on the front right.....DAMN...might need to visit a suspension place to get them to check and see if something like an adjustable one would be better....*cringes*
*prays that the car returns this arvo peaceful and joyful*

the clutches with higher clamping forcee generally make a bit of a screeching noise when you try to ride it.... dont know if this is what youre talking about though

Any news on this as to how it went?
Does any one know what the good price for a clutch is?
I mean mine is starting to slip as well so I guess that means I need to change my clutch very soon as well....
Does the clutch parts that SilentBob bought sound like a good price?
And where in Sydney can you get these?
Thanks,

hi...sorry i didnt update...
all is good now..
the noise was because the guard on around the brake rotor was 'bent' when the removed whatever it is they pull out when they get to the transmission...
so, after i dropped it back the next day and they fixed it its much nicer..
as for performance, the new clutch's 'bite' point is much lower, and you need to get the pedal to the floor for full 'disengage', which is different to the stock clutch it replaced..
but damn does it grip....0 slip....
will take some gettin use to, and we shall see how i 'adapt' come track day

And if they have a branch down here in Sydney?
Anything that'll help me get a new clutch as well please!
Thank you very much.

well after the track day and my troubles selecting gears I am unsure wether or not the clutch is to blame...
it will be getting checked out next week,
ive got to find the receipt for the clutch so I know what the model number is...

adam,
from everything you've said about your clutch problems i can't really diagnose it, some of it sounds like syncro's some of it sounds like a burnt out clutch (but i don't think you were on the track long enough to do that)... i hope the redline magic elixur fixes your problems

well im booked in for monday and a treatment of redline shockproof is on its way here...
they said that due to the heat one of the rings in the clutch may have expanded or something...
ill get them to crank it open, look at the clutch, see if its all fine and dandy...see if they can adjust the pedal etc etc...
if they suggest syncro's my current 'warranty' covers those so ill cross that bridge when we get there..
as long as its all up and running before the 5th
