Expensive is an understatement! The partner bought a seafarer and what he paid for it, he has put double into it! Its always needs the gadgets, servicing and even when your not using it - needs to be run constantly!

Its only a 95 model with a johnson 70 (does the job when he goes fishing) but I find it to be more of a debt than a car!

Better to know someone with one or convince a family member to get one and store it at your place ;-)

There's his problem right there. Outboards are always going to be expensive. V drives are just a marinised car engine.... sweet. But yes boats are expensive to run But who cares when you can
sit on the boat and yell "IM ON A BOAT, BITCH" at people

Such a shame you don't live in Sydney. My friend with a boat just moved to QLD and the wife and I are in serious withdrawal, I would honestly consider a $5k plus donation.

For all you Queenslanders, boats rock and $5k for a life time pass is actually a really good deal considering the amount of money and effort that goes into maintaining a boat.
