heater blower direction

i noticed today that im only getting air blowing from the front vents. it wont blow on the feet or from the demister even when i change the settings on the aircon controll.
Same thing happened in the work yarris
Didn't pay much attention to mine when I replaced heater core but in my old corolla it wasn't digital and it ran off a push pull system to change where the air went
Not sure if the fto would work off some thing like that but if so then guesing that would be not connected
Sory not at home so can look threw the manual or look at the car
Could download and serch threw the fto manual that's on the site some where may show some pictures of how the aircon heater system works
