My DVD writer wont recognise any blank discs for some reason, it says they have zero data on them and zero space.
I have uninstalled the DVD drive and reinstalled it to no effect. I now they're not expensive but I would like to get it working again. Google has yeilded no answers so any advice would be welcomed.

Can you try the drive in another PC/PC with another drive?

Try update the firmware on the drive itself. What brand / type is it?
Will it recognise any other brands of blank media?

Maybe your DVD drive may be dying. Have you had any problems burning things lately? Errors when burning DVDs. Any other problems lke disc reading times have been slow? etc?
Try putting in blank dvd's with data on them and see if they read.

Weird but it works with EasyBurn but not Windows for some reason?
