Earthing kit questions

Tried searching cause I am sure I saw it somewhere on here before but can never find anything when I want it.
In any case I have an earth kit and want recommendations in how to install it? Should I run all cables direct from battery or can I piggy back them throughout the engine bay and maybe an oversized one to the stereo/centre console? Which would be better?
