GR intake piping

The following is a picture of Bennoz's old intake setup.

In the picture there is a 90 degree silicone pipe going from the throttle body to the MAF sensor. My question is what is the internal diameter of that pipe?

To me it seems that you can get away with either 2.75" (or 70mm) for a tight fit or 3.00" (or 76mm) for a loose fit.

Also, if I go with the 3.00" (or 76mm) for a loose fit, will a hose clamp be able to compress a 5-ply silicone hose for an air-tight seal? (I know 5 ply is ridiculous for an NA setup but I can only find 5 ply if I want black with long legs.)

From memory I used the 70mm. You can see how tight a fit it was on each side of the MAF. I had to microwave the pipe & put vasoline all over the mouth to get it on there (no pun.)

Having said that, good quality hose clamps will seal it if it's too big. You'll always have that issue on the throttle body. Its external diametre is the smallest of the lot.

I use a German brand of clamp - Wurtz.

Stock is plastic, chrome is very not standard.

Take a picture and post it up here though, I would like to see what you have going on.
